The Environmental Advisory Committee provides strategic advice and guidance on, and assistance in the development of environmental strategies for City of Newcastle.
Objectives and Responsibilities
Provide strategic advice and guidance on, and assistance in the development of environmental strategies for City of Newcastle. This will relate to climate change, biodiversity, air, coast, estuary, water and waste.
Environmental Advisory Committee Charter
approved by Council on 26 June 2018.
The next meeting of the Environmental Advisory Committee has been postponed pending a City of Newcastle review of this Committee and its role. In the meantime Expressions of Interests (EOIs) for Community members to be part of this Committee is likely to occur in November 2018.
The Committee's membership comprises three Councillors, three expert advisor representatives from stakeholder organisations, three community representatives.
