Changes at our facilities

There have been several changes at our venues and facilities:
 

Newcastle Art Gallery

Newcastle Art Gallery will open from Tuesday 2 June 2020 to a maximum of 40 visitors at one time. There will be two sessions per day, two-hours per session. Bookings are essential to reserve a spot in one of the daily sessions. Find out more 
 

Newcastle Libraries

Newcastle (City) and Wallsend branches now open. Mayfield reopening 1 July. New Lambton reopening 6 July. Express visitation guidelines apply. Please check website for revised opening hours. Find out more
 

Blackbutt Reserve 

Playgrounds, walking trails, open spaces, shelters, kiosk and barbecues at Blackbutt Reserve are open from 18 May 2020. The animal enclosures remain closed to public access, to ensure physical distancing measures continue. Find out more 
 

Newcastle Museum 

Newcastle Museum will reopen to the public on 23 June, however the facility’s interactive attractions will remain closed for safety in line with State guidelines. ​Find out more
 

Visitor Information Centre

The Visitor Information Centre will open from 9.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, and 10am to 2pm on Saturdays.
 

Fort Scratchley

Fort Scratchely will be reopening from 4 July 2020 on Saturdays and Sundays only. Find out more
 

City Administration 

The Customer Service Centre at 12 Stewart Avenue is closed. The customer service team are still available to assist you via phone, webchat or customer request form. Find out more
