Start up heaven! The Landing Pad is a shared office space within the University of Newcastle's I2N hub in the vibrant Honeysuckle precinct of Newcastle.

We are inviting you to join our innovation community in Newcastle, for free!

We are offering domestic and international innovators a three-month free membership at the Landing Pad, until June 2023.

The membership includes hot desk passes and/or a two person office space with access to the maker space, seminar and event spaces, various software platforms such as Adobe and Office 365, commercial business address and more. Explore facilities and membership options here.

Becoming a member of the Landing Pad gives you and your business access to purpose-built facilities within the I2N hub that supports enterprise skill development, immigrating scale-ups with access to smart city infrastructure, an investor network, and to join a collaboratrion of academic experts.

The Landing Pad was developed from a joint initiative between the City of Newcastle and the University of Newcastle to deliver a shared workspace that supports immigrating scale-ups and skilled professionals within the tech industry fields.

Who is eligible to apply for the Landing Pad membership?

Applications are open to immigrating scale-ups, skilled professionals, entrepreneurs, investors, founders and experts who are in a tech-enabled field (including social enterprises and not-for-profits). Participants can include the founders of the business and/or their staff on ongoing or fixed-term appointments. A pre-startup is defined as a business that is setting up and is in the process of developing a product (good or service), is not part of an enterprise group, and is searching for a repeatable, scalable, and innovative business model or product. A startup is defined as a company or trust that is not part of an enterprise group and is searching for a repeatable, scalable, and innovative business model or product. A scaleup is defined as a valuable former startup company or trust that is not part of an enterprise group, has found a repeatable, scalable and innovative business model or product, and is expanding rapidly. Once you submit your application, the City of Newcastle will assess each applicant on an individual basis and will inform you of the outcome.
