Recreation facilities grants provide funding to Newcastle sporting groups to assist with minor capital works projects. 

Grants of up to $5000 are provided on a dollar for dollar/work-in-kind basis. These can be used for projects such as pathways, canteen renovations, fencing, park drainage, irrigation and cricket sight screens.
