City of Newcastle is pleased to offer the following information on and access to support programs for the tourism industry:

Product Development Mentoring Program

This is a pilot program including a deep business assessment, followed by five (5) one on one mentoring sessions tailored for your business needs. Supporting the mentoring program will be access to practical workshop style webinars, access to a curated national business community, tools to apply to your business and ongoing support from your mentor throughout the program. Facilitated by independent mentors, business and tourism experts, Sparrowly Group. Sparrowly Group has deep experience in building and growing destinations and businesses across Australia, New Zealand and South-East Asia.

Key Dates:
- Applications closed
- Successful applicants notified: 4 September 2020
- Program commences: 14 September 2020 (all mentoring to be completed within 4 months)

The Business Centre - Small Business Recovery Centre

The Business Centre brings together government and non-government agencies, banks and financial services providers, mental health and well-being providers, to offer support and provide information, and services, that lead to sustainability and job creation, to small businesses during and after COVID-19.

Destination NSW First Program

Destination NSW delivers the NSW First program to assist tourism businesses around the State to develop, promote and sell their tourism products. It includes face to face workshops and online webcasts that offer ‘how-to’ insights on a range of topics for the tourism industry, with events to be added to the calendar throughout the year.
