Friday 6 to Sunday 22 December 2019
In December, Newcastle ArtSpace will present five.point.six.

This unique exhibition will feature images captured by photojournalist Steve Tickner shortly after the collapse of the Newcastle Workers Club following the 1989 Newcastle earthquake.

This compelling collection has been in storage for 30 years and has never been published or seen by the general public before.

The exhibition will present a rare glimpse of the rescue effort which ensued in the hours following the tragedy, in which 13 lives were lost.

five.point.six is being curated by Newcastle Herald photographer Simone De Peak.

The exhibition is presented by Newcastle ArtSpace, City of Newcastle, The Newcastle Herald, Hunt Hospitality, Jayes Travel and Piggotts Pharmacy.

five.point.six will open at 91 Chinchen Street, Tighes Hill, on December 6, until December 22.
