As we work with State and Federal agencies to reduce the spread of Covid-19, the timeline for our Community Strategic Plan has been revised. We will continue to engage with you on our 2030 plan at a later date and thank you for your involvement in consultation activities this year. Your valuable feedback will still inform our CSP.
The Newcastle 2030 Community Strategic Plan 2018-2028 is based on the aspirations, knowledge and values of our community. The Community Strategic Plan (CSP) is a shared community vision to inform actions over the next 10 years. It represents the highest level of strategic planning undertaken by local councils, and is a requirement under the Local Government Act 1993. Having developed the CSP in consultation with the community and analysis of key economic, environmental and societal trends almost 2-years ago, we will continue checking back-in.
You're encouraged to read our mid-year (2020) Engagement Report and stay tuned for future conversations around Newcastle 2030.
In 2030, Newcastle will be a smart, liveable and sustainable global city.
The CSP was developed to have 7 strategic directions. Our strategic directions cover everything we want from our future Newcastle, from vibrant and active public spaces to a smart and innovative city with open and collaborative leadership.
