Newcastle Coastal Management Program Working Group

We are seeking expressions of interest (EOIs) from a broad cross section of the community for membership on the Newcastle Coastal Management Program Working Group. We are looking for members of the community who are keen to be involved in the future management of our coastline.

Newcastle Coastal Management Program Working Group

We are working to develop and implement coastal management programs (CMPs) and as part of that process, we are looking for members of the community interested in being part of the Newcastle Coastal Management Program Working Group.

CMPs look to address coastal and estuary issues. It is intended that the working group will exist to collaboratively share information to resolve coastal and estuary management issues for the benefit of all stakeholders, residents and Newcastle's environment.

The objective of the working group is to provide strategic guidance on the preparation, certification, implementation and review of Coastal Management Programs pertaining to the Newcastle LGA under the Coastal Management Act 2016 and associated guidelines.

Any member of the Newcastle community who is keen to be involved in the future management of our coastline is encouraged to submit an Expression of Interest. If successful, you would join the public authority landholders, agencies and stakeholders that will also be members of the working group.

Expressions of Interest close on Saturday 19 June 2021 and can be submitted by using the online form below.
