COVID-19 Update: Stay at home order in place for Newcastle - all our branches are currently closed.

Newcastle Libraries is operating a COVIDSafe service model, and our library branches are open and ready to welcome you. Limited face to face programs for members, pop-up spaces and outdoor library events have recommenced and bookings are essential.

The Newcastle Toy Library has re-opened on Saturday mornings at New Lambton Library. Our partners at the Toy Library have worked hard to make the service safe and inclusive. To find out more please visit the Newcastle Toy Library Facebook page.

New Lambton Library is centrally located in Regent Street, surrounded by cafes and boutiques. The library has a variety of study and reading areas and a diverse collection of books, magazines, movies and music. Staff are also happy to assist you with the large range of resources available online in our eLibrary. Programmes run at New Lambton include Baby Book Time, Rock & Rhyme Time, Storytime, Book Busters and Book Chat. See the latest brochure or our What's On page for times and dates. The library also provides access to photocopying, printing and computer use and free WiFi.

If you have a pram or mobility aid and need to access a program in our meeting room downstairs such as Rock & Rhyme or to borrow from the Newcastle Toy Library please let staff know and we can open the downstairs side door for easy access.

Newcastle Toy Library
The Newcastle Toy Library is also housed at the New Lambton Library. The Toy Library allows families to borrow toys for a party, education or just to play!
