Over 400,000 Australians are expected to host a garage sale this November over two back-to-back weekends.
City of Newcastle has partnered with Garage Sale Trail to make it free to register your garage sale on a national map and get access to a bunch of resources to host a successful event.
No garage? No worries. Join a group sale near you, host from your unit block, a car boot, a local school or make it a pop-up street party.

How to host a garage sale
Visit Garage Sale Trail to register your sale for free. You'll receive:
- A listing on a national sales map viewed by thousands of eager bargain hunters.
- Free promo resources, including letterbox slips, directional signage, posters and more.
- Hints and tips from garage sale experts.
Surveys show that sellers make an average of $457 on the Trail. Over four million kilograms of items were saved from landfill during last year's event, proving that pre-loved is both pocket and planet friendly.
