Guided Tours

Guided tours are led by passionate Fort Scratchley Historical Society volunteers with a wealth of knowledge about the site.

There are two types of tours:

• Site and full tunnel tour: Runs around 90 minutes. Allow two hours on site.
• Tunnel tour: Runs around 60 minutes. Allow 90 minutes on site.

Tours are available at regular intervals each day the Fort is open (6 days a week, 10am to 4pm closed Tuesdays). If you are with a small group of people (under x10) you don't book, just purchase your tour tickets at the Artillery Store on the day.

Tours depart at the following times:

10.30am, 11.30am, 1.10pm, 1.40pm and 2.30pm and are subject to availability on the day. Other times may be available by appointment.

Last entry into Fort Scratchley at 3.30pm, closed at 4.00pm.

Unfortunately, tunnel tours are unsuitable for wheelchairs, walkers, prams & strollers due to narrow stairs & hallways.

Group bookings

Group tour bookings (12 or more people) are welcome. Please give us plenty of notice to make sure we can have a trained volunteer on site to give you a personal and fascinating tour of the site on the date and time you require.
