Strategic Advisory Committees provide advice and guidance on the development of strategies, and identification of challenges and opportunities for City of Newcastle (CN). CN Committee positions are voluntary. It's a great way to share your knowledge and expertise to help make Newcastle a liveable, sustainable, inclusive global city.

Applicants can submit their EOI via alternative formats to written. Verbal and visual recorded statements will also be accepted via electronic format to support applications if that is the preferred method of communication of the applicant.
Provides advice and guidance on the development of strategies, and identification of challenges and opportunities, in relation to cultural planning and heritage, arts and cultural opportunities, sporting and recreational opportunities, community pride and local identity including local history, and community involvement which encourages a sense of belonging within the local government area (LGA). Provides advice and guidance on the development of strategies, and identification of challenges and opportunities, in relation to built and natural facilities and systems within the LGA, including coastal revitalisation programs, environmental matters, transport, traffic and parking, cycleways delivery and floodplain management.
