Fort Scratchley

Steeped in history, Fort Scratchley is situated at the eastern end of Newcastle on the site where convicts created Australia’s first coal mine in 1801. Today the Fort operates as a museum and provides a unique venue for a range of events.

Fort Scratchley is located right at the tip of Newcastle East looking out over the Nobbys Headland. Event car parking is available.
