Wildlife exhibits  

Our wildlife exhibits are free to enter from 10am to 4.30pm daily. Wildlife exhibits are closed on Christmas Day, Good Friday and before 1pm on Anzac Day.

Kiosk

The Blackbutt Kiosk is permanently closed. Construction on the Multipurpose Community Facility and Cafe has commenced. Learn more on our Projects and Works page. 

Picnic facilities

Picnic facilities are open from 7am until 7pm. Shelters, BBQ's and nature walks are available for use between these hours.

Office

Office hours are from 8am to 3pm Monday to Friday, closed on public holidays. 

Private encounters 

Unique opportunity to experience close encounters with some of our favorite animals at Blackbutt Reserve. During an encounter you will learn about each animal including diets, breeding, habitats and conservation strategies. Learn more here!

Walking trails 

Blackbutt has 7 different interesting and challenging walking trails with magnificent scenery and natural features through varying forest types and along creeks. Trails are signposted at each major intersection. For further information, visit our walking trails page.
