Playground Replacement Program
Loch Ness Drive Park, Fletcher
In 2024, recreational areas such as Rawson Park at Stockton, Adamstown No.2 and Waratah's Coolamin Reserve will receive new equipment as part of City of Newcastle's annual improvement program, while Islington and Lambton Park playgrounds will be upgraded with new rubber softfall and equipment respectively.
Playgrounds are selected and identified from a biennial playground safety audit we undertook on all of our playground sites across the City. From this safety audit every playground is given a condition rating which determines its priority within our renewal program.
