Public Voice and Public Briefings

Public Voice

Public Voice sessions provide an opportunity for members of the public to make presentations to Council on Development Applications (DAs) that are to be determined by CN’s Development Applications Committee at a future meeting.

Public Briefing

Public Briefing sessions provide an opportunity for members of the public to make short presentations relating to significant issues of a general, strategic or policy nature, including in relation to planning proposals relevant to CN's functions, facilities or services.

Note: The Council does not make decisions at a Public Voice or Public Briefing session. These sessions are an opportunity for discussion only.

How to apply?

We encourage all applicants, prior to submitting an application, to review the Public Voice and Public Briefings Policy. This provides further detail of the procedure for applying, assessment criteria and alternative options available to you.

Applications can be made by completing a Public Voice or Public Briefings Application form.

If a Public Voice or Public Briefing session is available, you will be advised of the scheduled date, together with general information about making your presentation.
