Beresfield Community Children's Education Centre

We are a fully accredited long day care centre, providing quality baby, toddler and pre-school programs for 58 children. The Centre also caters for children with special needs.


We manage three cemeteries across the city offering pleasant and cost effective burial and ash memorial sites.

Homelessness Pledge

Everyone has a role to play in ending homelessness. Individuals, local businesses, real estate agents, volunteer groups, state and local governments can all contribute, to achieving an overall goal of providing permanent, affordable housing and the support that people need to create and keep a home.

Commonwealth Home Support Program offers a variety of entry-level support services to benefit older people and carers to stay independent and live in their community longer.

Youth Council

Newcastle Youth Council (NYC) provides an opportunity for young people aged 15-25 to provide strategic advice to Council.

National Youth Week celebrates young people and their contribution to their local communities. It is now the largest annual youth participation event in Australia.
