Update Pet's Desexed Status

For City of Newcastle residents, if your cat or dog's desexed status has not already been updated on the NSW Pet Registry by your vet, you can complete the below online form so we can update this for you.

To complete this form, you must upload at least one of the following documents as evidence of your pet's desexing. The microchip number must be clearly noted within the documentation:

  • Certificate of Sterilisation
  • Letter or receipt from a vet
  • Statutory Declaration completed by the owner (must include the vet details and procedure date).

Consequence of non-provision: Your pet's desexing status may not be accurately reflected in the NSW Pet Registry.


Storage and security: Information will be stored in accordance with City of Newcastle’s Records Management Policy.
