Regional Planning Panels were established by the NSW State Government on 1 July 2009. The Regional Panels determine a range of developments, including all developments with a value of more than $30 million, that are not classified as being of State significance. CN has two representatives, Councillor Dr John Mackenzie and Councillor Peta Winney-Barrtz and three alternative representatives, Councillor Carol Duncan, Councillor Dr Elizabeth Adamcyzk and Councillor Callum Pull on the Hunter and Central Coast Regional Planning Panel (HCCRPP).
