Getting active to and from school

Ride2School Day - Friday 21 March 2025

We are committed to improving the safety, convenience and comfort of active transport options for students to and from school. This includes supporting initiatives like Bicycle Network's National Ride2School Day.

Ride2School Day is Australia's biggest celebration of active travel and a day full of fun where students, teachers and parents discover the joy of riding and kick-start healthy habits for the future.

Get involved and join the more than 350,000 students across Australia who will ride, walk, scoot, and skate to school on Friday 21 March 2025.

Educators at primary schools in the Newcastle Local Government Area can register with us to receive free fruit, treats, and more to help your school community celebrate.
