Household Chemical CleanOut CANCELLED

The Household Chemical CleanOut event scheduled for Newcastle in April 2025—at the TAFE NSW campus in Tighes Hill— has been cancelled.

A recent fire at the Sydney facility that processes the waste chemicals has impacted several CleanOut events run by the NSW Environment Protection Authority in partnership with local councils.

The date of the next Newcastle event will be advised in due course. Please visit cleanout.com.au for updates, including upcoming events in surrounding local government areas.

Residents are asked to safely store their household chemical wastes in the meantime.
