Using Your Bins
By using your bins correctly, you can reduce the amount of waste that ends up in landfill.
Some things don’t belong in any of your bins. For example, batteries can start fires inside our collection trucks. Syringes can injure the staff handling your waste. Chemicals can harm the environment if not disposed of responsibly. And bricks and concrete can make your bin too heavy for our trucks to lift—or cause considerable damage if they do find their way inside our vehicles.
If you're unsure about what you can place in your bins, please call us on (02) 4974 2000 on weekdays between 8am and 5pm or email our Waste Services team.
