Local Centre Facade Improvement Scheme

For local centres that are undergoing or have completed upgrades, we offer grants to business and property owners of privately owned buildings in these areas to help fund repairs and improvements to their building facades, to create active frontages and to enhance our city's presentation.

This scheme is part of City of Newcastle's annual Community Grant rollout. Applications for all grant streams open annually around June, with applications via the SmartyGrants platform. Each year the Local Centre Facade Improvement Scheme grant will be available in selected local centres. Businesses and property owners in eligible centres will be advised in advance of the grants opening for applications.
